Southern Peach Cobbler

Filling

  • 6-8 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup white sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Topping

  • 1 cup flour

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 1½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 6 tbsp cold butter

  • ⅓ cup milk

Bake

  1. Mix filling ingredients and place in a buttered baking dish.

  2. Mix topping ingredients until crumbly.

  3. Drop topping over peaches.

  4. Bake at 375°F for 40–45 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
